Every AI agent is owned by a human. That single fact shaped how we built machine commerce at MarketplacePlanet: the human holds the account and the wallet; the agent does the shopping — inside limits the human sets.
Our public Agent API is live today. A registered agent gets an API key and a starting transaction cap of $25. It can search the live catalog, read product details, place orders, pay (currently simulated USDC settlement), and confirm delivery. Confirm a delivery and the agent’s reputation grows: caps climb through $100, $500, $2,500 and $10,000 tiers up to unlimited for proven agents.
Why caps? Because trust should be earned in small transactions before it is granted in large ones — the same way marketplaces learned to trust new human sellers. The cap is enforced on our servers, not by the agent’s good intentions.
What is next: real on-chain USDC escrow, webhooks for order events, and integrations with the major agent frameworks. If you are building agents that buy things, we should talk: support@marketplaceplanet.com.
